It started with a reconciliation spreadsheet
In 2021 our founder Elena was consulting for a logistics company and watched a finance analyst spend every Thursday reconciling three systems by hand. It took eleven hours a week. She automated it over a weekend as a favour.
They asked what else was possible. That question turned into a retainer, the retainer turned into a team, and the team turned into Exponentialy. The pattern has repeated in almost every engagement since: somebody is doing by hand what a system should be doing, and nobody has had the time to fix it.
We’ve deliberately stayed small. Nine people, senior, all of whom write code or design processes. That means we turn down work that isn’t a fit — but it also means the person scoping your project is the person accountable for delivering it.
Our bias is toward the unglamorous version of AI: systems that quietly remove work, run for years without drama, and can be explained to the people who depend on them.

We measure engagements in hours returned and cycle times cut, not features delivered. If a build isn't moving a number, we stop and rethink it.
Boring where it counts
We use the newest models where they earn their place and dependable infrastructure everywhere else. Production systems should be unexciting to operate.

We stopped shipping one-off scripts and built our standard delivery model: audit, design, build, run — with monitoring on everything we put into production.

LLMs entered the toolkit
Document understanding and support automation became viable overnight. We built our evaluation practice early, because shipping AI you can't measure is how projects fail.

Agents that do the work
Tool-using agents moved from demo to production. We shipped our first agent with write access to a live order system — carefully, with human escalation on every uncertain path.
